The North Top family lawyer, Lucinda blogs today about a father in court proceedings for financial support brought by the mother of their two children has been committed for contempt for failure to comply with an order to serve a Form E financial statement.
The father, Neil Shepstone, failed to appear at the committal hearing. The Judge, His Honour Justice Everall KC found him guilty of contempt of court by failing to comply with the order and committed Mr Shepstone to prison for fourteen days. The order, which was made on the 3rd October 2013, was suspended until the 14th October to permit Mr Shepstone to serve the Form E in the interim.
