Claire joined Major Family Law as a legal assistant in February 2013. This followed a solid legal career in several heavy-weight corporate Newcastle City Centre firms. Her commercial experience is proving a useful asset in assisting in business cases on divorce.
Claire has worked alongside a number of colleagues presently with Major Family Law, and formerly from Watson Burton, working for the head of the Professional Indemnity Department. Claire has gained a wealth of experience in professional indemnity claims brought against professionals. Her organisational and numeracy skills and commitment to excellent service standards set her apart. She also brings useful experience in dealing with business Mediation and other Dispute Resolution practice, which she recognises is increasingly important in all modern legal practice.
Claire is also the Finance Manager for the Practice. She is an integral support to the fee earners and her acquired management skills complement the running of the Practice.
Claire also manages the finances of the family run construction business dealing with the bookkeeping and VAT requirements.
