The North East’s Top Divorce and Family Law Specialist, Joanne Major comments property tycoon, Elie Taktouk, has spoken out  after an unsuccessful appeal against a decision of the High Court forcing him to sell his £5.5 million home to his wife’s new partner, the Spanish footballer Cesc Fabregas.  Mr Taktouk’s former wife, Daniella Semaan, left Mr Taktouk for the footballer and in April of this year gave birth to his baby.

Mr Taktouk was  ordered to sell the property to Cesc Fabregas to provide money to enable his ex-wife to purchase a home for herself, despite claiming the Belgravia flat was being sold for £2 million less than its true value.  He told the Evening Standard that the family courts system in the UK was “appalling” and “favour badly behaved women”.
